Family Passes for Various Attractions available

We now provide Library Passes for discounted entry into Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo, Adirondack Experience at Blue Mountain Lake, The Wild Center, The Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute, and The Empire Pass.

These passes are available to an adult with a valid Mid-York Library Card. They are loaned for a week with no renewals. Please take advantage of these passes and explore our beautiful state.

Munson -Williams-Proctor Arts Institute:  This pass is equal to a family pass offering free admission and discounts on purchases made on the premises in the art and book shops. It is also listed in the Empire State Museum Reciprocal Program which allows this pass to be used in 18 museums in New York State. A list is available at the library.

Empire Pass: This pass allows free entry of a vehicle on a first-come, first-served basis, considering the maximum capacity of the facility. When the card is presented at most NYS parks, DEC forest preserve areas, Boat Launch sites, Arboretums, and Park Preserves. The Empire Pass is usable at the facilities listed on the website and at most NYS Department of Environmental Conservation facilities found at:http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9174.html

Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo: This pass is valid for 50% off the cost of admission for up to 4 adults and 6 children per visit. More details are available on their website www.fortrickey.com

Adirondack Experience at Blue Mountain Lake:  This pass is valid for 50% off the cost of admission for up to 4 adults or 2 adults and all children aged 17 and under. Children under 5 years old are get in free. More details are available on their website www.theADBX.org

The Wild Center Discovery Pass: This pass is valid for admission fee of 2 adults for $10.00 and 4 children free, under the age of 17. The Wild center is open late May through Mid-October. Visit the website for more information. www.wildcenter.org

Mindfulness Meditation

We are now offering Mindfulness Meditation Sessions on Wednesday Mornings from 9:45 to 11:00. 

This is free, and open to the public. The Library will be closed, but the door will be unlocked for you when you get here.
